Ryan Ruffels announced as the inaugural winner of the elite sporting tours annual golfing excellence award.

Elite Sporting Tours is pleased to announce that Ryan Ruffels has been awarded our inaugural prize for golfing excellence by an Australian amateur golfer for the 2014 calendar year.

We are proud to provide Ryan with an invitation to walk the hallowed grounds of Augusta National Golf Club with Elite Sporting Tours and witness the US Masters Tournament.

Born 29 April 1998 (Elite Sporting Tours formation year), we have followed Ryan’s progress since he was around 11 years of age. An upstanding and outstanding member of both Victoria and Royal Melbourne Golf Clubs on Melbourne’s Sandbelt, Ryan is the current 2014 Callaway Junior World Golf Champion as well as reigning 2014 Australian Boys’ Amateur Champion.

Amongst many other achievements Ryan has been a member of the Golf Australia National Squad, was on the winning team in the 2013 Ten Nations Cup and also the youngest winner of the Riversdale Cup in Melbourne, winning the event at 15 years of age. He has also achieved two top-25 finishes in the 2013 and 2014 Australian Opens, tied for 17th at the 2014 Australian Masters and tied for third in the recent Victorian Open.

Ryan is currently ranked number 13 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
