Elite Sporting Tours is pleased to announce that Curtis Luck has been awarded our prize for golfing excellence by an Australian amateur golfer for the 2016 calendar year.
Given Curtis’s well deserved invite by Augusta National Golf Club to the 2017 Masters, we are proud to be able to provide his extended family with the invitation to walk the hallowed grounds with Elite Sporting Tours and witness his participation in the US Masters Tournament.
Despite being excluded by Golf Australia for various golf performance programs whilst being an outstanding younger amateur, Elite Sporting Tours have been impressed with Curtis’s golfing achievements and progress over the years and especially his 2016 season.
An outstanding member of Cottesloe Golf Club in Western Australia, Curtis ended the year as the number two male amateur player in the world, with a number of outstanding wins including his victory in the US Amateur as well as the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship. Both of these titles earn the winner a place to compete at the following years Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia as well as the US Open and Open Championship. Becoming just the third Australian winner of the US Amateur when he took the title at Oakland Hills puts Curtis in very esteemed company.
Earlier in the season Curtis won the Nexus Risk TSA Group Western Australia Open and finished the year in the Australian team which won the World Amateur Team Championship, where he was ranked the second lowest individual himself.
Amongst many other achievements, Curtis won the 2012 Newman and Brooks Junior Championship as well as the 2014 Victorian Junior Masters and Western Australian Amateur in addition to being the Australian Amateur runner up in 2014.
We congratulate Curtis on an outstanding amateur career to date as well as every success as he embarks on what promises to be an exciting and rewarding professional golf career.
See you in Augusta!
